Asia Pacific, September 30, 2009 – Fuji Xerox a leading provider of solutions, services and software that enable enterprises
to make optimal use of their knowledge assets, today launched Direct Marketing ROI Planner,
a planning tool that enables marketers and their service providers to gain greater effectiveness in direct marketing,
including one-to-one (1:1) marketing. The Direct Marketing ROI Planner is part of the ProfitQuick™ suite of products.
Delivered over the Web, the Direct Marketing ROI Planner is designed to calculate the complete return on investment (ROI) of a direct marketing campaign.
Using it, marketers and service providers can evaluate the effectiveness of their projects, compare generic and 1:1 campaigns, and make better-informed decisions.
"More often than not, the planning of direct marketing campaigns and projects involves a fair
amount of uncertainty, leading to guesswork. The Direct Marketing ROI Planner removes a large part of this guesswork, enabling businesses across
the entire spectrum of industry to accelerate their outreach to their customers, in particular through one-to-one marketing,
while balancing risk and reward," said Helene Blanchette, Go-to-Market Strategy Manager, International Business Group, Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific.
Featuring an instant scoreboard, the Direct Marketing ROI Planner is easy to use.
All a user needs to do is enter key campaign data (number of mail pieces, cost per piece, cost of products, and so on),
and input likely conservative and optimistic response rates and conversion rate (these are adjusted using ’drag and turn’ tuner wheels).
Once this data is entered, a single click generates key results such as total campaign costs,
total campaign revenue and profit, total campaign ROI and costs for acquiring prospects and converting them into customers.
The results also include break-even point calculations that marketers and service providers can use to evaluate the risk in converting
generic direct marketing campaigns into costlier 1:1 campaigns.
These results from Direct Marketing ROI Planner can be formatted as reports or proposals,
making it easier for marketers and service providers, respectively, to present campaign outcomes to line-of-business owners and
justify campaign/project spending. They can also be saved in a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet for desktop analysis or for further input into specialised marketing management applications.
The first version of the Direct Marketing ROI Planner is available in English, traditional and simplified Chinese, Korean and Thai.
The tool is free for use for those who register at www.fxap.com.sg.
Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific plans to release two complementary tools – a TransPromo simulator and a Promo–Space calculator – before the end of this calendar year.
"Many marketers, printers, advertising agencies and other companies are looking to apply
a scientific ROI approach to the measurement of their new business communication investments, and these tools do just that," said Helene Blanchette.
Direct Marketing ROI Planner Wins Praise From Preview Users
"I have seen a few ROI calculators, but never one this complete for one-to-one campaigns and
never one that is this easy to understand. Not only will this be invaluable for planning campaigns,
but I can see it being very valuable for post-analysis and even more importantly, for scenario planning."
– Bob Pente, President, Wired Pente Inc., Canada
"Definitely a great tool that will help marketers with scenario planning and encourage bold new steps in direct marketing investment."
– Lisa Watson, President, Ibis Intelligence Services and Chairman, Direct Marketing Association of Singapore
"Firstly this is a terrific tool, best Ive seen. I deliberately did what most blokes do to really test its user friendliness. I did not read the detailed instructions first."
– Geoff Collins, Managing Partner, Wunderman, Thailand
"Very good tool for direct mail campaigns....congratulations...I know just how much time has gone into this."
– Wayne Kingston, Managing Partner, Peppers & Rogers Group, Australia
